Is the California Fire Foundation a 501c3?  

Yes, the California Fire Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. This means donations to the organization are tax deductible. When you make a donation online a tax receipt will be emailed to you automatically. Our Tax ID number is 68-0118991.

How can I help with wildfire relief?  

When major wildfires strike in California, the California Fire Foundation is there to support communities in the immediate aftermath and with long-term recovery. Our Disaster Relief cards distributed by our trusted partners put $250 into the hands of evacuees and survivors to use for food, gas, clothing, and lodging. Additionally, through our grants and Cal Rises programs, we are supporting the long-term recovery of communities. The most impactful way to support this work is to donate to the Disaster Relief Fund, CLICK HERE.  

When is the Annual California Firefighters Memorial Ceremony?  

Each year we host the California Firefighters Memorial to honor fallen firefighters and etch their names into the Memorial Wall in Sacramento’s Capitol Park. Click here to learn more about the next ceremony.

Can I donate clothing or furniture to fire victims through California Fire Foundation?  

The California Fire Foundation is unable to accept donations of physical items for fire victims. We encourage citizens to contact local organizations in fire areas to see if there is a need for clothing or other vital supplies.
