In this recent statewide cycle, applications were accepted through June 30, 2024, from California-based fire departments, firefighter associations, federally-recognized tribes, and local nonprofit organizations.
Funding decisions are generally communicated a month after the application window closes. At any time, applicants may view the status of their submissions via their grants portal dashboard. Due to the volume of applications received, the portal dashboard is the quickest way to check on a proposal's status.
