APPLICATION PERIOD CURRENTLY OPEN.

The California Fire Foundation is pleased to announce a new grant opportunity for California-based fire departments, local firefighter associations, federally recognized tribes, and nonprofit organizations planning relief effort projects in Los Angeles and Ventura counties.

Through the Disaster Relief & Recovery Grant, the California Fire Foundation supports long-term recovery efforts and provides vital resources to those on the front lines. Whether you’re a firefighter association replacing damaged PPE, a nonprofit assisting families needing support, or a community group focused on wildfire prevention, this grant opportunity can help finance your essential work.

Projects must fall into one of the following focus areas:

  • Community Relief & Recovery
  • Recovery Planning, Public Education, and/or Community Outreach Campaigns
  • First Responder Training
  • Specialized Firefighting Equipment (such as PPE replacement)
  • Vegetation Mitigation & Fuels Reduction

Typical award amounts range from $25,000 to $100,000; requests outside of this range will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
