It is with sorrow that CAL FIRE and CAL FIRE Local 2881 share news of the passing of one of their own. Fire Captain Timothy Rodriguez, a 19-year veteran with CAL FIRE, was killed in a helicopter crash on August 6, 2023, while fighting a wildfire in Riverside County. Brother Rodriguez, 44, leaves behind his wife and three children.
