LODD: Los Angeles Co. Firefighter Specialist Shawn Bayer
It is with the deepest regret and sadness that Los Angeles County Firefighters Local 1014 announces the death of Firefighter Specialist Shawn Bayer, Los Angeles County Fire Station 8, "C" platoon, Battalion 1.
Brother Bayer passed in the late evening of Saturday November 2, 2013 after battling an aggressive form of job related cancer.
"Firefighter Specialist Shawn Bayer, our brother, fought cancer as valiantly and courageously as any firefighter laying his life down for others," said Local 1014 President Dave Gillotte. "In fact that is exactly what he has done. We shall never forget."
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, together with President Dave Gillotte and Fire Chief Daryl Osby pass along deepest condolences and sympathy to the entire Bayer Family during this incredibly difficult time.
Firefighter Specialist Bayer leaves behind his loving mother and brother who have been there by his side supporting him everyday.
