The son of a firefighter, Scott Douglas Carroll knew from a young age that he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps. He began his career as a seasonal firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service. He would then go on to serve as a Federal Firefighter in Ventura County, before joining the Oxnard Fire Department, where he would serve with honor and distinction for 19 years. An avid fan of both sports and traveling, Scott loved to follow his Dodgers and Rams around the country. He is survived by his wife, Tracy, his children, Rylee and Mike, and two grandchildren. Scott died in 2015 after suffering a job-related brain aneurysm.
