Firefighter Pablo Cerda was one of five firefighters killed while protecting a structure on the Esperanza Fire, October 26, 2006. A graduate of Los Amigos High School in Fountain Valley, Pablo attended Rancho College in Santa Ana. Pablo was an avid soccer player, and also enjoyed volleyball, basketball and swimming. Pablo spent three years on Engine 57, making his colleagues, friends and everyone around him smile. He loved life in general.
