In his 30-year career, Pat Cooney saw the challenges of the fire service from the ground and the air. As a USFS firefighter, he managed tactical air operations and supervised a crew of "Hotshot" firefighters, before moving on to manage the Angeles National Forest. His commitment to passing along his knowledge reflected in nearly two decades as a high school and college fire technology teacher. But Pat's best known for his role in developing the groundbreaking California Incident Command Certification System (CICCS)
