Through his firefighting career which spanned over four decades, Harry Correll embodied the definitions of mentor, father, husband and friend. He trained hundreds of firefighters to drive the fire trucks and spent 36 years at Station 64 in South Central Los Angeles, one of the busiest fire stations in the state. At home, he was a family man, who enjoyed gardening, joking with family and friends and watching his grandchildren play sports. He lost his courageous battle with job-related cancer in 2007.
