Mark E. Franks
Department: Brawley
Deceased: September 20, 2010
Mark E. Franks dedicated 29 years of his life to the fire service in California and Texas as a well-respected, highly trained, hardworking member of the team. Though he held many fire certifications (EMT, Investigator, Haz Mat, etc.), it was his work as a certified FBI-trained bomb technician that he was especially proud of. He provided bomb tech assistance to both local incidents and highprofile events and received many honors for his work. Mark's greatest joys in his life were his children and spending time with his family. He died of a job-related heart attack.
