"Danny G" lived his life serving others. As a rookie Firefighter, he was honored with the Institute for Burn Medicine's Spirit of Courage Award for his part in rescuing two small children from a house fire. After 28 years in N C FD, Danny retired in 1999 as a Platoon Commander. Grandchildren, family, and golf gave Danny much joy ... with cooking and traveling following close behind. He was a man of his word and of strong faith. Danny died at home of complications from job-related multiple myelomas.
