John R. Gregory, better known as "Jack," began his firefighting career in 1965 and served 40 years. Jack had a passion for the fire department, whether it was hanging out at the station or tending to a call, his love for the department was irrepressible. In May of 2005, Captain Gregory passed away with occupational cancer, leaving behind his wife Janice, two step children, Brian and Julie, and six grandchildren
