Larry Hammer grew up in a fire family and followed in his father’s footsteps to become a second-generation firefighter.  Larry embodied the finest qualities of a true firefighter and was a patient and thoughtful leader.  Larry loved the fire service and worked for the Fountain Valley Fire Department for 23 years.  Larry cherished spending time with his family.  He passed away from job-related cancer in February, 2016.
