Patrick G. Henry
Department: CDF
Deceased: March 13, 2006
Patrick Henry grew up on the Jersey Shore, where he spent most of his free time surfing and lifeguarding. His love for sand and surf eventually led him to Hawaii, where he lived for a short stint - and he even became friends with Don Ho. In 1975, Pat was hired by CDF and worked several years in within the Sonoma County Unit. Through hard work and determination, he was promoted to Engineer and later, Captain with the Mendocino County Unit. Pat loved being a wild land firefighter. And while he hated being away from home during fire season, he was thrilled to be out on strike teams and battling the big blazes. Pat's love for adventure and firefighting can only be surpassed by his deep love for his wife, Michelle, and children, Thomas, Joseph, Jeremy and Ariel. Pat will remain a hero in the eyes of all that knew him
