Earl Jones began his career as a Hoseman and served the citizens of Oakland with pride and distinction for 30 years. Ever an example, Earl was a highly respected member of the Oakland Fire Department who led by example and embodied the finest qualities of a true firefighter. He passed away in December 1944 from a heart attack. At the time of his death, Earl was survived by his wife and three children.
