A lover of California's wilderness areas, Frank Earl Troutman, Jr. embodied the finest qualities of a true firefighter, serving the citizens of California with honor and distinction for nine years. In addition to firefighting, Frank loved scouting, camping and exploring California's wild outdoors, from the Sierra Nevada to its rugged North Coast. For Frank, the opportunity to live and work as a firefighter was a dream come true. He died of an on-duty heart attack at the age of 46.
