Robert Alan Lee
Rank: Battalion Chief
Department: CAL FIRE
Deceased: June 01, 2002
From a young age, Robert Alan Lee knew he wanted to become a firefighter. While in his early 20s, he took the first step toward realizing the dream he had held since childhood by becoming a seasonal firefighter with CAL FIRE. Robert would go on to spend the majority of his career as a captain with CAL FIRE’s Santa Clara Unit, and was promoted to the rank of battalion chief with the San Mateo-Santa Cruz Unit prior to his retirement. Outside of work, he enjoyed flying, playing golf, spending time on the lake and, most of all, spending time with his family. Robert died in 2002 after suffering a job-related heart attack.
