Michael D. McComb
Department: Los Angeles City
Deceased: March 23, 1998
Remembered for his love of life itself, Michael "Mike" McComb served the Los Angeles Fire Department for over 25 years. He was both a firefighter and air crewman who, despite often in harm's way, faced danger in the utmost professional manner. He loved his family first, his job second, and developed a third passion for flying. Mike was abruptly killed along with Michael Butler and Eric Reiner, when their helicopter crashed while attempting to transport an 11 year old girl to the Los Angeles Children's Hospital.
