Tom joined the Manteca Fire Department in March of 1985 and was promoted to Captain in July of 1991.  Tom will be remembered by his colleagues as a compassionate worker, dedicated Firefighter, and empathetic friend.  Fellow workers admired him for his sense of humor, devotion to God, and commitment to his family.  Captain Tom Moore died June 16, 1999 while conducting training evolutions at the Regional Fire Training Center in Modesto.  He is survived by his wife, Robin, and their two children Sarah and Kevin.
