Dale E. Mosby chose to become a firefighter because he wanted a meaningful career in which he could make a difference in other people’s lives and experience a sense of camaraderie with those he worked with. Dale was awarded the David B. Dewey – Firefighter of the Year Award in 2001 and 2012, nominated and voted on by his peers at the Rancho Santa Fe Fire Protection District. Dale was a family man who left his mark on his community and was always ready to lend a hand at his children’s school and athletic events. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping in the desert,  with friends and family.
