Jason Pollard’s firefighting roots began with his father Sam, who served in CAL FIRE’s San Diego Unit. Jason began his own CAL FIRE career as a seasonal firefighter in San Diego. He was hired full time in 2003, serving more than a decade in the Riverside Unit with honor and distinction. Outside of his work, he enjoyed spending time with his family. In August 2018, Jason succumbed to the effects of job-related cancer.
