Duane Poore's life ended before it had truly begun. He was a seasonal firefighter with the Del Rosa "Hot Shots" crew and had been employed for three days when he lost his life in an entrapment while fighting the Barrett Damn fire in the Cleveland National Forest. He was only 17.
