Michael J. Ramsey began his career as a volunteer with the Tuolumne County Fire Department in 1989 and was promoted to Firefighter 1. He also served as a Firefighter 1 for the U.S. Forest Service and CAL FIRE. In 1996, Mike joined the City of San Mateo Fire Department which eventually became the San Mateo Consolidated Fire Department where he served until his retirement in 2022. Mike was an active member of the Wildland Committee, served as a Probationary Mentor and received the Peninsula Council of Lions Club Valor Award. Mike will be missed by many, especially his loving wife and three children.
