Donald Harvey Raymond
Department: Penn Valley
Deceased: April 15, 2007
After retiring from the Air Force, Donald Raymond served as an extremely valuable asset to the Penn Valley Fire Protection District and its surrounding community. Don, as he was known, was a Fire Apparatus Engineer and EMT 1 who worked shifts whenever needed. He responded to calls at any time of the day or night, no matter how hot it was in the summer or cold in the winter. Exhibiting the qualities of a true fireman, he was a "jack of all trades" and would drop anything for the call of duty. Don's contributions to the Penn Valley Fire Protection District and its community can be described as selfless service; he was an admirable son, father, husband, and brother to those who knew him.
