Gary Sauls, an Engineer with the San Gabriel Fire Department, lost his battle with occupational brain cancer September 6, 2005. Brother Sauls, a 37-year veteran with San Gabriel helped develop the City's Swift Water Rescue Training Program for his department. Brother Sauls loved the ocean, and spent many years skin diving and snorkeling. Gary, along with his wife of 35 years, Robin, loved traveling the world and motorcycle riding. In addition to Robin, Gary is survived by his brother Ray, sister Arlene, and over a dozen nieces and nephews.
