Glenn V. Smith

Glenn Smith was the 12th of 17 children. He became the first person in the department to hold three titles at once: firefighter, paramedic, and helicopter pilot. Glenn wrote the guidelines and duties for chief pilot and later retired in that position. Glenn was always calm and loving, with an infectious grin. Last fall, Glenn lost his battle with job-related cancer at age 54.
