A long serving union officer with CDF Firefighters, Local 2881 and employed by CDF since 1980, Captain Deems Taylor passed away July 24, 2003 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Captain Taylor began his fire career in the early 1970's, and prior to working for CDF, he was a firefighter for the Shasta County Fire Department
