Surrounded by family and friends, Firefighter Ewart Thompson succumbed to a long a courageous battle with cancer.  He was 58 years old.  Firefighter Thompson began his career with the San Diego Fire Department in 1974.  A member of the San Diego Firefighters Local 145, Firefighter Thompson spent the majority of his career assigned to the B-Division.  For those who had the privilege of working with him, he will be deeply missed.
