Deceased: October 11, 2017
Lester Lee Webster’s 31-year career in the fire service began with CAL FIRE, where he served for a season before joining the Buena Park Fire Department as a Firefighter. Later, he moved to the city of Garden Grove, where he would serve the majority of his career and ultimately retire as an engineer. Lester loved his family and the outdoors. He enjoyed surfing, softball, fishing, boating, landscaping, cooking and even excelled in remodeling and masonry work. Despite being diagnosed with job-related prostate cancer in 2007, Lester continued to serve in his department until 2012. He lost his decade-long battle with job-related cancer last October and is survived by his wife of 30 years, Marilyn, and his two children, Amanda and Tony.
