Jerry G. Welton served the citizens of Monrovia with pride and distinction for 30 years. Jerry’s interest in firefighting stemmed from an incident involving his best friend, inspiring him to become a paramedic to be able to make a difference for others and not feel helpless. Outside of his work, Jerry enjoyed working on cars, parachuting, and participating in sprint car racing. He passed away from job-related cancer in September 2022. Jerry is survived by his wife and two children.
