Norman Wiles loved the fire service since the day he joined in August of 1979. Norman served the citizens of Pasadena with honor and distinction for the entirety of his career and set the bar high for his peers and subordinates. Norman loved helping those who were new to the fire service and constantly was researching and implementing new industry training procedures to implement within his department. Outside of the fire service, Norman coached high-school football and baseball, and helped broadcast the games. He also served his church community as a deacon. Norman succumbed to job-related cancer. He is survived by his wife, Wendy, of 33 years and their children, Lacey and Matthew.
