At 6 foot tall, 240 pounds, Matt Will was a powerhouse, with a sense of humor to boot (he frequently referred to his "girlish figure"). He joined the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection in 2003. He answered his last call to duty when When he was called out to a fire broke out in Monterey. His bulldozer overturned and he sustained head injuries, which became fatal. As a firefighter, he saved property and lives. Later, he gave new life to five others through organ donation. He is survived by his wife Diana and children, Trysten and Elsie.
